Frithguild

CONCEPT, BRANDING AND LOGO

Frithguild is an artist-run event space, cafe and bar in Salford, Manchester UK. The business aims to provide a creative haven for local groups and individuals in need of community support.

A number of icons were created, each one to represent a different service the space provided or an activity run within it. These icons were based on 'Hobo-glyphs', a code created by travellers in the 1950s as a way of safely passing on information within the community.
